[Rollenspiele] How to game master like a f**king boss & Silent Legions

Venger As'Nas Satanis, der Mann hinter den 3 großartigen Abenteuern "Liberation of the Demon Slayer", "The Islands of Purple-Haunted Putrescence" & "Revelry in Torth" hat mal wieder zu geschlagen - wenn auch auf eine andere Art und Weise:
"This is the accumulated wealth of my 30 years playing, designing, and (most importantly) Game Mastering paper & pencil roleplaying games. I wrote a book that I would want to read, something I could refer back to again and again. Not every suggestion or recommendation is worth its weight in gold, nor will they be to everyone's taste. However, I believe there's enough personal wisdom shared to change the way you run games forever... if you want to start Game Mastering like a fucking boss, that is.

Readers will get the most use out of this book if they're running or intend to run fantasy RPGs. Nevertheless, almost half this volume is genre-neutral and should be applicable to science fiction, horror, super heroes, etc. It's full of general advice on running games, specific elements that should be included, lots of tables for cultists, monsters, magic items, etc., and a brutal-sounding, sorcerous language you may borrow from whenever you need something suitably arcane or foreign.

To wrestle with the dragon and win... that is what I shall teach you! This book is a door to a parallel world of Game Mastery, a world where Venger Satanis whispers strange and frightening things into your ear... AND YOU HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO LISTEN!!!"

"The world is broken in hidden ways. The truth is concealed for the sake of mortal minds. The unendurable reality that boils behind the stars is veiled by the pleasant blindness that human sanity requires. Yet every comforting shroud must fall in time, and for these investigators, that time is now.
Silent Legions is a game of modern-day Lovecraftian horror, one carefully designed to support sandbox adventures by hard-bitten investigators and fearless hunters of the dark. Its clean, lightweight old-school rules are compatible with the free Stars Without Number sci-fi game and give both GM and players a steady framework for plumbing the unspeakable secrets of the eldritch night. Now, after a successful Kickstarter with more than 1,100 backers, a Kickstarter completed a month early, this tome of dark secrets can be yours.
Silent Legions isn't just about traditional Yog-Sothothery. Silent Legions is a creation kit, a toolbox in the Sine Nomine style for creating your own Mythos, with all-new deities, alien entities, foul magics, accursed artifacts, unaussprechlichen kulten, and diabolical dream-worlds to bedevil your players. These tools are system-neutral, so even fans of other Lovecraftian gaming systems can scoop them up to add a splash of fresh horror to their more familiar tentacular abominations.
Not only that, but Silent Legions is built to help the GM create investigative adventures with minimal strain. Within these pages you'll find a modular set of templates and adventure guides that help you snap together an evening's intrepid investigation and fit it neatly into your campaign setting. Like the Mythos creation tools, these guides are system-neutral and can be exported for any occasion when you need something wicked to this way come.
So seize now upon this opportunity! Plunder this vault of forgotten lore. Grasp these dark tools of creation and wield their power to fashion your own nightmarish reality. Perhaps none dare name the things that await your animating will, but soon enough the world will know them well…."

[Rollenspiele] Empfehlungen des Monats: Liberation of the Demon Slayer, The Islands of Purple-Haunted Putrescence & Revelry in Torth

"The stars are falling - which can only mean one thing. Your town is about to be invaded by demons! Unfortunately, the famed demon-slaying sword Kalthalax lies in the caves below, and all manner of dark and deadly fiends reside in those eldritch-haunted Nether Realms."
Dann liefert "Liberation of the Demon Slayer" einfach alles, was das Herz begehrt: Sex, Violence, Sci-Fantasy und eine ordentliche Portion Weird Stuff.

"This is a weird, science fantasy, gonzo campaign setting and wilderness hex-crawl for old school fantasy roleplaying games. The Islands of Purple-Haunted Putrescence is a guide for helping you run crazy sandbox scenarios in a lost world of Snake-Men, dinosaurs, and mutant sorcerers... an exotic and deadly region possessed by a demonic, purple-hued god of ruin and consumption."
Die Beschreibung ließ sofort mein Herz höher schlagen. Ich meine, Hallo?! Schlangenmenschen, Dinosaurier und mutierte Magier?! Was will man mehr!

Irgendwie wirkt "The Islands of Purple-Haunted Putrescence" wie eine Mischung aus Dr. Who, John Dies at the End, From Beyond und Isle of the Unknown.

"Revelry in Torth takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. Seven of the most powerful wizards created a gargantuan fi reball that destroyed the world in order to prevent a slave revolt that threatened to extinguish humanity.

Hundreds of years after the holocaust, people are distrustful of magic, each other, and the unbridled forces of Chaos... demons, devils, dragons, and extra-dimensional aberrations. Out of the night-cursed desert comes heroes, villains, and treasure-seeking mercenaries to upset the balance of power. You are one of these fearless adventurers. Is that a scorpion squid erupting from the moons-lit sand? Attack!"

10 - Roll twice, combining results into an unspeakable hybrid of flesh and horror!
